Set of 3 small rectangular dishes in German ceramic produced by VEB Germany in the 1950s. The company was founded in 1926 under the name Villeroy & Boch, was nationalised/expropriated by the GDR in 1948, and renamed VEB Torgau. Upon reunification in 1990, the factory was returned to Villeroy & Boch. Colours Pink, Yellow, and Blue typical of this period. The coloured glazes were made from 1956 onwards. In very good condition with no cracks or chips. Normal and classic crazing visible on the glazing of the blue and pink models, without consequence. These small dishes were probably used to serve olives or sweets or biscuits but would be more attractive as decoration today. Size of each dish: Height 3 cm -- Width 12.5 cm -- Length 16 cm.
