Extensible dining table in the Louis XVI style or Directoire-inspired, originally round in shape, which opens to accommodate extensions and transforms into an oval table. The legs are tapered and fluted, topped with connecting blocks. It appears to be made of 100% solid cherry wood with a beautiful warm golden honey-toned patina. It features a wooden sliding mechanism reinforced with steel and a removable central support leg to enhance the table's stability when fully opened with several extensions. The legs end in square golden brass caps. The table is sturdy, in very good condition, and of very high quality craftsmanship, assembled in the traditional manner with dowels. Length without extensions 112, Length with 2 extensions 212 (extensions 2x50, width/diameter 112, height 64/76).
