Overview: Modernist Art Deco club chair attributed to De Coene Frères, Belgium, circa 1935. Model Déposé; originally part of an office ensemble including a desk, cabinet and two armchairs. Design: Limed (bleached) oak exposed frame with conical front columns and curved armrests featuring circular recesses at the front. Boxy, low-slung club silhouette with geometric, period Art Deco proportions. Upholstery: Upholstered in Kirkby Design fabric: blue boucle points on a beige background (organic spotted motif). Seat height 39 cm; armrest height 55 cm. Materials & Finish: Solid limed oak frame paired with textile upholstery. Pale, grain-visible oak finish emphasises the original wood grain.
