Overview: Modernist Art Deco club chair attributed to De Coene Frères, Belgium, circa 1935. Model Déposé; originally part of an office ensemble including a desk, cabinet and two armchairs. Design: Limed (bleached) oak exposed frame with conical front columns and curved armrests featuring circular recesses at the front. Boxy, low-slung club silhouette with geometric, period Art Deco proportions. Upholstery: Upholstered in Kirkby Design fabric: blue boucle points on a beige background (organic spotted motif). Seat height 39 cm; armrest height 55 cm. Materials & Finish: Solid limed oak frame paired with textile upholstery. Pale, grain-visible oak finish emphasises the original wood grain. Dimensions: Width: 90 cm; Depth: 80 cm; Height: 79 cm. Seat height: 39 cm; Armrest height: 55 cm. Provenance: Belgian manufacture, produced in the 1930s (production period 1930–1939).
