Large oil landscape by swedish painter gunnar s. Malm (1909-1986). It was painted by the artist in the 60's. The painting is hand-signed on the lower right part of the painting. Made in oil technique on capanel. In an original period teak frame. The perfect addition to a modernist interior in the scandinavian style - modern. Gunnar johan sigfrid malm, born march 29, 1909 in malmö, died there december 5, 1986, was a swedish painter and illustrator. Gunnar malm studied at the skåne painting school in malmö 1928-1929 and during studies and business trips where he stayed for several months to france, the netherlands, spain and morocco, among others. Separately, he exhibited several times in the sds hall in malmö and at malmö city hall and krognoshuset in lund. He participated in group exhibitions with skåne art association since 1942 and with landskrona art association and participated in the exhibitions young artists in stockholm 1935, new year's salon in helsingborg 1945. Among his public works are five decorations inoil and al secco for malmö sagostunder's summer home. His art consists of harbor motifs with boats, street views, figures and landscapes from southern countries with a motley folk life in squares and in alleys made of oil pastel, tempera or gouache.
