Exceptional Czechoslovak art vase created by designer Josef Hospodka for the Chřibská Sklárna glassworks in the 1960s. This major piece employs the Macchia technique: the interior features an expressive, speckled, and striated composition in shades of cobalt blue and sunny yellow, entirely covered by a thick layer of colourless glass (Sommerso) providing striking depth. The top of the piece consists of wavy protrusions reminiscent of a blooming tulip, while the massive, twisted base ensures perfect stability. An extremely sought-after cobalt/yellow combination by collectors. Piece signed with its original labels (Bohemia Glass / Transexim).
