A stylish set of Cado 291 design chairs, designed by Steen Østergaard in 1969 for Cado. These distinctive chairs are a prime example of Space Age design from the late 1960s and early 1970s. This set was produced in 1972. The chairs feature off-white plastic shells with green vinyl seat cushions. The shell is molded as a single piece and boasts the characteristic fluid cantilever shape. Their open construction gives the chairs a strikingly light and futuristic aesthetic. The design gained additional fame when this model appeared in the James Bond film *The Spy Who Loved Me*. The combination of the sculptural form and the green seat accent makes these chairs true eye-catchers. The chairs are made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic. Despite their floating design, they are exceptionally sturdy. A beautiful set for an interior that appreciates vintage design, the Space Age style, and unique Danish designs. Dimensions: H 74 X W 60.5 X D 53 cm. Seat height: 45 cm. The chairs are in used vintage condition, showing clear signs of age and use. There are no cracks or other damage.
