Oil on landscape canvas

This old oil on canvas represents a countryside landscape: a peasant woman returning to her cottage sheltered by trees. There are several planes, from the very large tree with deciduous mediums, to the conifers of the bottom in the setting sun. The tension of the canvas is good, just the frame has two small indentations on the right edge, probably due to the use of reclaimed wood during assembly. Old paint, it also has some micro fly spots. Beautiful mastery of the treatment of trees and the sketch of the farmer. Dimensions: 39x46 cm.
