Rare set of four chairs designed by Paolo Buffa, Italy, 1950s. Oak structure and seats in woven cord, featuring the sculptural lines characteristic of post-war Italian furniture. The backs showcase particularly elegant decorative work, with two sculpted and openwork oak crossbars. The four chairs are sold as a set. Provenance: Maison Verrsen, Paris. Original purchase invoice dated February 2022, explicitly stating: “Paolo Buffa, 4 oak chairs with cord seats. 1950s. Italy.” Three seats have been professionally restored and re-corded. The fourth is original. Very beautiful patina of the oak, with marks and nuances corresponding to their age and use. Dimensions to be specified: height × width × depth × seat height. Ideal set around a dining table, but also very decorative in a contemporary interior. Price: €6, 200 for the four. Collection in person in Paris / delivery possible upon request.
