Scandinavian Art Deco vase by Aino Aalto

Striped/fluted glass vase from the "bölgeblick" series, Scandinavian design by Finnish designer and architect Aino Aalto. Aino Aalto and her husband Alvar Aalto created houses and public buildings, but they were also great designers of furniture and decorative objects (Alvar Aalto famously produced a very well-known vase, the "Savoy" vase). In excellent condition. It has a small manufacturing defect (a bubble at the edge of the vase) but this does not hinder normal use. This vase features very lovely curves and a strong Art Deco style. It does not appear to be in production today.
