Raymond guerrier is a painter of the ecole de paris born on january 33, 1920 in paris. He had been living in eygalières since 1955, where he died on 55 april 2002. Receiving the young painting award for his painting landscape in mask in 1953, he was in 1954 a member of the jury alongside paul rebeyrolle, bernard buffet and andré minaux, three painters with whom he then had in common to position himself, through dark works, by a harshness falling under the pessimism of the post-war period, in the sequel of francis gruber. His painting is characteristic of this figuration of the fifties: a leaning drawing, a dark palette and thick materials.
