Created by Finnish artist and designer Timo Sarpaneva (1926-1926). This object is part of the "Finlandia" line of "bark glass" vases produced by Littala between 1964 and 1970. The collection was distinguished by its thick glass with a rough surface reminiscent of both tree bark and the ice of his native Finland. The glass was poured and blown into old wooden molds and left until they burned, making each piece in the series unique and natural. Diameter: 14.3 cm. Height: 5 cm. Base thickness: 2 cm. Weight: 582 g. Color: Shades of smoky gray and green Signed underneath "timo sarpaneva 3357" Perfect with some moss, foliage, rosebuds, a floating candle... It could also be a pretty trinket dish or an elegant serving bowl. Its natural design will undoubtedly inspire you... In very good condition, no chips or cracks. I only note a few minor scratches under the base, normal for an object that is 60 years old. Careful shipping within France and internationally.
