Typical of French work from the 1950s, this small side table charms with its top crafted like a painting. It features a beautiful two-tone marquetry: a light wood frame enclosing two darker panels, creating a very graphic geometric pattern. Its delicately curved, almost organic lines rest on four tapered splayed legs characteristic of Mid-Century design. Thanks to its ultra-compact size ("pocket handkerchief"), it is extremely versatile: ideal as a coffee table in a small living room, as an elegant side table, or even repurposed as a plant stand in an entrance. Condition: Vintage used condition. The structure is stable and solid, and the top shows a lovely patina of time. For transparency, it should be noted that there is a small assembly gap with a wood deficiency at one junction of the marquetry on the top. This wear detail, visible up close, is part of the furniture's history and does not detract from its charm.
