Florence Knoll Arabescato Oval Table Florence Knoll described her designs as filler pieces in design projects. "I needed the piece for a job and it wasn't there, so I designed it." While this may have been the motivation for the 1961 desk, the elegant and perfectly proportioned result will be more than a filler piece in your office or dining room. Base: Four spokes and central column in polished or satin chrome-plated steel upon request. Adjustable chrome-plated steel feet. Top: Oval laminate, wood, marble with a rounded edge, or etched crystal. The wood shelves are 30mm thick, the marble shelves are 20mm thick, and the crystal shelves are 15mm thick. The marbles are of the finest quality, selected to eliminate possible structural defects. The polished clear polyester finish also protects against stains.
