Small decorative bowl on a pedestal made of Perlmuttglas from the Eisch factory in Frauenau, in the Bavarian Forest. The matte surface reveals, depending on the light, delicate pearlescent and iridescent reflections in rainbow colours. The freely undulating edge with six lobes is accentuated by a cobalt blue glass appliqué. The profiled foot gives this compact shape a very sculptural presence. Two well-readable original labels are preserved: "EISCH · Handarbeit · Bayr. Wald" and "Perlmuttglas". A dating in the 1970s is considered a solid working hypothesis, although it is not confirmed by a date mark. In good vintage condition, without chips, cracks, or other damage. Any slight irregularities in the shape and surface are characteristic of handcrafted glasswork.
