Superb mahogany and marble console table (early 20th century).

A long and very elegant console table in solid mahogany with a superb, sculpted white marble top. It is beautifully crafted, a traditional piece from the early 20th century. It rests on six tapered and fluted legs, giving it a slender appearance. Each leg is fitted with brass feet (two or three feet are cracked, but this has no visual or structural impact). The marble top is in perfect condition, its intricately cut shape perfectly complementing the console's form, which, while understated, is nonetheless highly detailed. Indeed, the convex curve in the center necessitates a correspondingly crafted central drawer. The side drawers are also custom-made and therefore non-interchangeable (a sign of true handcraftsmanship), and feature a concave curve that echoes the central curve. Each drawer retains its original gilt handle, and the interior is lined with mahogany plywood. In short, a console table of great style and undeniable presence. Length: 161 cm. Depth: 40 cm.
