Quinta, Mario Botta/alias chair, Italy 1985. Mario Botta is a Swiss architect and designer. He is one of the great names in Ticino architecture. His style is directly inspired by brutalism. His furniture is characterized by the presence of chrome, metal and cylindrical shapes. Its seats are particularly well-known: the prima, seconda, quarto and quinta chairs (1986) are legendary pieces. The quinta chair is inspired by the characteristic shapes of architectural geometry. Designed by the great Ticino architect to furnish some of his famous creations, it is now one of the classics in the catalog aka, icons of design made in Italy.
