Mercury glass lamp base

Beautiful lamp base from the 70s, in mercury glass and brass. The warm-cold gold/silver effect is quite surprising and graceful, it harmonizes with very different interior styles. Some wear pitting, visible on the silver layer. The base is made of brass, as are the wide rings that enclose the lower and upper part of the glass structure. On the latter, visible in one of the photos, there is a very slight and small notch on the brass, barely visible and without affecting the stability or the support of the socket. The base is very stable. It has been completely re-electrified. The original socket is bayonet, but we can, if you wish, replace it with a screw socket for the same price. This lamp base is sold without a lampshade. However, if you wish, I can provide the one visible in the photos when sending for the same price.
