Louise Campbell designer collector chairs

The Prince Chair, designed by Danish designer Louise Campbell, is one of the most notable pieces of furniture from the early 21st century. This armchair was created in 2001 for a design competition aimed at imagining a seat for Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark. The cut-out patterns are inspired by the traditional paper cuttings of Hans Christian Andersen. The chair's total transparency symbolises the impossibility for a member of the royal family to hide from the public gaze. The project did not win the official competition, but it caught the eye of the young Danish brand HAY, which decided to produce it. Its success was immediate and global, leading to its inclusion in the permanent collections of major museums such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. The Prince Chair is no longer produced in series by HAY today, making it a true collector's item. I am selling the 2 chairs. The price indicated is for both chairs.
