The set is made according to the traditional khokhloma art, which has been using this technique of superimposing lacquer since the 17th century, giving the object, generally made of wood, a typical metallic appearance. Our set has a made in ussr label, we do not have its precise origin...but given the traditional technique used, you can imagine yourself in the small villages along the volga since that is where you started. At the very least, you can dream about its life in a beautiful property in uccle where it was found by us and where a large russian community developed considerably following the exile caused by the 1917 revolution.
