Vintage Orange Slice Armchair Artifort Pierre Paulin

Iconic Orange Slice armchair (model F437), designed by Pierre Paulin for Artifort in 1959. Two identical curved elements – inspired by orange segments – together form the seat as well as the backrests and armrests, resting on an elegant steel frame. The result is a brilliant minimalist design that, more than 65 years later, is still regarded worldwide as a timeless classic of design. This is an early vintage example from the early sixties, featuring a frame that is probably nickel-plated. The armchair has been professionally reupholstered with new foam and high-quality green flecked wool fabric from Maharam Studio. It is therefore in very good condition again. The frame shows slight signs of use, in line with its age. Dimensions: 84 w × 80 d × 70 h × 38 zh cm.
