Table healed with rectangular tray in walnut plaster and angles at pans coupes. This top offers pretty marqueteries from bois clairs and amarante, with a profile man in the centre wearing a vegetable crown. This character is surrounded by a frieze in varied hues. On both sides, two eagles with outstretched wings, placed on pedestals in palmettes and volutes feuillagé, complete this table. The scene is doubly framed by uninterrupted sequences of geometric patterns. The songs of this tray are also marqueté. The belt, recessed, is in walnut plaster arranged vertically, and it is embellished with two lemon fillets. This table rests on a central cask generously turned and moulded, finished with four feet cut. Designed in the taste of restoration, they are largely out of focus, guaranteeing perfect stability of the whole. Also noteworthy are their composition in solid walnut, where the congeners of this furniture are more commonly equipped with feet made of wood of placage. We will choose this table guerdon rather than another especially for the finesse and quality of its marqueteries, as well as for its various and harmonious shades. Period: part 2 of the 19th century. Perfect condition after restoration in our workshop. Vernie finish.
