Ceiling lamp suspension brand CVL model cavaillon glass and brass

This beautiful suspension is a model of the brand c.v. L ("creation loire valley", "cvl luminaires" today) which exists since the 60s and highlights a 100% french manufacturing by relying on recognized designers. This model, named cavaillon, is part of a collection that has been offered in their catalog for many years (80s perhaps?). This example was manufactured in 2009 (cvl info). The lampshade is made of semi-opaque peach-colored glass (slightly darker on the edge of the glass), the structure in brass (burnished). This luminaire has a socket for an e27 bulb (large screw base) up to 250 w of power. It also includes the piton and the brass piton cover. I tested it, it works. It is in good condition: neither cracks nor missing on the glass just a few marks at the place of contact with the brass base, invisible once the glass is in place. Some small marks or scratches on the brass parts, mainly located on the top of the stem, at the level of contact with the cover-piton. The ring to be screwed on the socket to hold the shade is probably not the original one (white plastic while black plastic socket), so the lampshade still moved slightly unless screwed very hard and had trouble unscrewing if necessary afterwards. So I interspersed a cardboard washer which has the double advantage of holding the lampshade without excessive pressure and being able to unscrew the ring more easily if necessary, it is a satisfactory solution since you do not see the washer at all once the luminaire is installed on the ceiling. But you can also look for the perfect ring in diy store or lighting or flea market. The glass is 37 cm in diameter. The height of the luminaire is about 50 cm. The maximum width of the brass structure is about 48 cm. This luminaire weighs about 1.7 kg.
