Small chauffeuse of the napoleon III period, with blackened wooden structure. Its high and rounded back in the upper part is embellished with golden arabesques and inlays of mother-of-pearl. Openworked, it is crossed halfway up by a horizontal bar, decorated in its center with a bouquet of multicolored flowers. We will find a similar naive decor in the middle of the traverse of this chair. The seat, mounted on traditional straps, is in useable condition. It is currently covered with a salmon fabric with stripe finishes, pending the attribution of a new tapestry, which is up to the quality of restoration of its frame. The whole rests on four legs, of which those at the front are hectic and embellished with decorations reminiscent of those described above. The two rear feet, sober, are slightly arched. By definition low to be at the height of the fireplace, this little driver will be able to resume its original function at the corner of the chimney. Unless we prefer another more fickle role. This piece of furniture may, or may not, be accompanied by its petit guéridon (reference 747 r bis). ******** Period: xixth. Perfect condition of wood after restoration in our workshop. Varnished finish. Sitting to review. Size: Seat: width: 41 cm depth: 43 cm height: 42 cm. Height of the driver: 81.5 cm. Ref: 747 r.
