An antique silver-plated candlestick, probably from the first half of the 20th century. It features a wide circular base with steps, a slender shaft made up of a succession of baluster shapes, and a flared bobeche designed to hold a taper candle. The silhouette reflects the classic forms of silver and silver-plated candlesticks popular in table arts during the 19th and 20th centuries, with a very understated decoration that highlights the proportions and profile of the shaft. The metal has a grey patina, with darker areas, small spots, and signs of use that add texture to the surface. Its classic and minimalist design works particularly well on its own or within a composition of mismatched candlesticks, alongside antique wood, natural linen, ceramics, or a more contemporary table. In the absence of a hallmark or identifiable marking, no specific manufacturer can be attributed to this piece. Dimensions: height 21 cm; diameter 9.5 cm. Weight: 500 g. Generally good antique condition, with patina, scratches, spots, and signs of use on the metal. Please feel free to contact me for more information.
