Stamped "made in England by Johnson Bros" (1883-2003, Staffordshire manufacturer renowned for the quality of its products -- from 2003, production was relocated to China and the name "Johnson Brothers" ceased to be used in 2015). "The Old Mill" collection produced between 1952 and 1977. Blue on cream white decoration according to 19th century English "transferware": finely detailed romantic landscape. Gently twisted relief in the rim. English manufacture. Except for a chip on the reverse edge (see photos), no accidents, no obvious traces of use. Diam. 32 cm, h 5 cm.
