Magnificent low buffet in the Louis XIII style, entirely made of solid walnut. This characterful piece of furniture stands out for its superbly crafted woodwork: the doors and sides are adorned with sculpted panels known as "diamond point, " a geometric finish emblematic of the Renaissance and the 17th century that beautifully plays with light. It opens at the front with two drawers featuring their original bronze pull handles and two wide doors revealing a lovely storage space. The uprights are delicately fluted, resting on a moulded cornice and "ball" feet (miche feet) typical of the period. Condition: The piece is in excellent condition with a warm waxed patina. There are a few signs of age that give it all its charm and authenticity. The structure is very sound and robust. Style: Classic / High Period. Materials: Solid walnut.
