Glazed earthenware jug

Glazed earthenware jug with a slightly tapered body and a pinched spout, decorated with a free design in slip and melted glazes in deep green, brown, and ochre tones on a warm beige background. The decoration, applied with a supple and spontaneous gesture, forms drips and vegetal undulations characteristic of workshop productions from the second half of the 20th century. The unglazed base reveals a dense terracotta, contrasting with the satin glaze of the body. The fully glazed interior shows a beautiful patina of use. No visible signature under the base. French artisanal production in the spirit of the stoneware workshops of Puisaye. In good vintage condition, with slight chips at the spout, a chip on the edge inside, and signs of use under the base (see photos). Height 15 cm, diameter 10.5 cm, length of spout handle 15.5 cm. Estimated capacity: approximately 80 cl to 1 L. An organic, artisanal aesthetic with warm tones.
