Silit kettle - Hans Erich Slany - 1970s

Superb vintage Silit kettle from the 1970s, attributed to the German designer Hans Erich Slany. This stunning kettle is an iconic object of Space Age design from the 1970s. It stands out with its bold, rounded lines, its large ergonomic handle made of heat-resistant plastic, and its typical gradient red and orange enamel from that decade. Made from Silargan, a material developed by Silit consisting of a metal body covered with an extremely durable vitrified surface. An object as beautiful displayed in a kitchen as it is used daily, and a true piece of German design from the 1970s. Vintage, has been used, but in excellent condition and perfectly functional.
