Ceramic jug imitating wood

1960s ceramic jug imitating wood, with a brown marbled decoration and angular handle. It fits into the trend of wood-imitating ceramics that Vallauris specialised in during the 1950s-60s: the marbled decoration mimics the veins of wood in a trompe-l'œil style, a typical decorative nod of the era. It can be used on the table or as a small vase. Dimensions: L. 18 X W. 8 X H. 14 cm. Condition: good condition, with a visible chip as shown in the photos.
