The st.-jean-de-bretagne earthenware workshops were located in the commune of st-jean-la poterie. Pottery activity in this town dates, according to archaeologists, from the 11th century. The old pottery workshops ceased in 1949. The activity was resumed in 1951 and continued until 1989 when the workshops were destroyed following a fire. I offer you a coffee service of 15 pieces: Coffee maker: height -13 cm., width - 20.5 cm., diameter at the neck - 6 cm. Sugar bowl: height - 8 cm., width - 13.5 cm., diameter at the neck - 7 cm. Milk jug: height - 7.5 cm., width - 15 cm., diameter at the neck - 6 cm. 6 cups: height - 4 cm., diameter at the neck - 10 cm. 6 saucers of 12.7 cm. Of diameter. The service is decorated with Breton and Celtic geometric patterns in bright colors. On the reverse of each piece we find the stamp of the manufactures st-jean-de-bretagne, the decoration number and the initials of the decorator. Very good condition with some minimal signs of wear.
