12 Ridgway "Windsor" blue English soup plates

Set of 12 English Ridgway (Staffordshire) soup plates, "Windsor" blue pattern. "Windsor" is a revival, made by Ridgway in the 1950s, of the "Asiatic Pheasants" pattern which, along with the "Blue Willow" pattern, was one of the stars of English transferware in the 19th century. Fine English earthenware (ironstone). Blue on white monochrome decoration depicting two pheasants in flight amidst lush flowers; lobed border. English manufacture in the 1960s (date of manufacture indicated in the brand stamp: January 1966). In excellent condition: no scratches from use or traces of rubbing, no accidents, clean edges. A large set of beautiful quality, in exceptional condition. Diam. 21 cm, h 3 cm.
