Gien Faience, "Rouen au Sainfoin" Service, 5 Exceptional Serving Pieces, 18th Century Reissue, 1970-1990. Description: Rare set of 5 fine faience serving pieces from the prestigious Gien Faience, featuring the iconic "Rouen - Au Sainfoin" decoration. It is characterised by a rich border with reserves on a background of green check patterns scattered with starry flowers, a twisted filet, and stunning polychrome floral bouquets at the centre. Lot composition (5 pieces): • 1 large oval platter (Dimensions: 39.2 X 25 cm) • 1 oval serving dish (Dimensions: 34.5 X 25 cm) • 2 large circular platters (Diameter: 32 cm) • 1 circular pierced dish (Diameter: 30.4 cm), originally designed to hold a central stem and be transformed into a tiered server / sweet display. Condition: Excellent condition, decoration retaining all its integrity, no signs of cracking. The pieces bear the mark on the back from the Gien Faience detailing the history of the "Rouen - Au Sainfoin" model.
