Reproduction of the reading light, painting by Jean Raoux (1677-1734), painted in 1728, and enclosed in an oval carved wooden frame, in gold and black colors. This painting represents a young woman reading a letter. It appears to be a love letter. Indeed, the young woman is as if absorbed by what she is reading, and she is leaning near a small open box on the table, undoubtedly a snuffbox, on which we can make out, unfortunately with some difficulty, the portrait of 'a man. Condition: very good condition. Period: early 18th century, classical period. Style: portrait. Dimensions: _ total height: 48cm. _ total width: 39cm. _ frame width: 5cm. _ maximum depth: 3.5cm. Colors: _ gold and black frame. _ reproduction with an equal mix of bright and dark colors, and a predominance of dark yellow and black.
