Decorative metal coffee table adorned with a ceramic piece by Charles Emile Pinson. It depicts a stylized, brightly colored bird with a long blue tail, surrounded by stylized dark trees. A ceramist, painter, and engraver, Pinson produced a diverse body of work. He notably created pieces for various buildings in France, such as the former Chamber of Commerce in Caen, the University of Caen, and the church in May-sur-Orne. This coffee table, likely of Belgian manufacture, is in very good condition. It has a few cracks – see photos. Metal compass base, brass edges, spherical glides, ceramic top.
