Jatte tamegroute

The jattes or tamegroute salad bowls are worked by hand according to ancestral techniques.  They have some irregularities: this is what makes their charm. Dimensions: diam 42 X high 24. Green enamel pottery is designed by an alloy of manganese, copper oxide... Once the object is coated with this composite, the whole is put to cook in the smothered in a stone oven giving it this typical appearance. Pottery with a brown tint is obtained without the addition of copper to the initial alloy.
