Pair of Tito Agnoli armchairs in leather and bamboo, 1970s.
A pair of 1970s armchairs designed by Tito Agnoli, in cognac leather and varnished bamboo. Based in Milan, Tito Agnoli is among those Italian designers who revitalised post-war seating, from Arflex to Bonacina and Oluce; his work with leather and natural materials has produced some of the most recognisable armchairs in Italian production. Here, the thick varnished bamboo curves into a graphic frame that forms the legs and armrests in one fluid gesture, supporting a studded cognac leather upholstery, highlighted with light topstitching - embodying the spirit of safari chairs from the 1960s-70s, balancing rusticity and refinement. The leather has developed a beautiful natural patina. Very high-quality craftsmanship. The price is indicated for the pair. Dimensions: L. 70 X D. 70 X H. 72 cm, seat height 39 cm. Condition: very good, natural patina of the leather. REF FAU2554.
