Sirkus Office Armchair by Yrjö Kukkapuro for Avarte 1980s

Ergonomic office armchair from the Sirkus series by Yrjö Kukkapuro, produced by Avarte in Finland circa 1981. The chair features a sculptural seat and an adjustable backrest made of black lacquered plywood and upholstery in black wool. It sits on a sturdy metal revolving stem with five castors, offering both comfort and mobility. Adjustable in height. A functional and characteristic example of Kukkapuro’s human-centered design approach. Remains in good condition with some light age-appropriate wear. No stains or damages to the upholstery.
