Suspension, "Mezzaluna" applique by Bruno Gecchelin for Skipper, 1975

Luminaire "Mezzaluna" designed by Bruno Gecchelin and produced by Skipper in 1975. Rare version usable as a ceiling light or wall sconce. The 3 photos are archival images and may give the impression that the stem is perpendicular to the ceiling; in reality, the stem is inclined at 45°. Overall good condition, the photos provide details. The aged white lacquer has taken on an ivory hue. There is some blistering of the lacquer, without flaking; a small impact has been retouched. The chrome is flawless and free of pitting. The rose has been modified with 4 milled holes to allow for attachment to the ceiling at a DCL connection point, with 4 chrome-headed screws. Bulb type R7S, 118 mm in length, halogen or LED block.
