Handle basket Gien Thibault

Large basket with handle (fruit, empty pocket), italian renaissance décor on blue background "thibault" On the reverse, stamp of the gien manufactures "italien thibault". Adrien thibault (1844 - 1918) joined the faïencerie de gien in 1871. His trip to italy and his love for the italian renaissance inspired him to create the famous so-called "italian" décor.
