Mid-century modern teak desk by Asko Finland, 1960s.

Very rare desk from the Finnish manufacturer Asko. A particularly impressive minimalist design with its straight lines. The rectangular top is veneered in teak. The simple legs are highlighted by dark walnut. On the left side, there is a cube with three drawers beneath the top. The drawer fronts are veneered in teak. A light wood has been used inside for better visibility. Like the legs, the round handles are in contrasting walnut. A special detail of this desk is the shelf on the right side. It is formed from a simple frame and is open on the sides. The shelf is mounted with brass screws. The rectangular legs are each aligned similarly to the cube and the shelf, with the narrow or wide side facing forward. The back of the desk is also part of the design, allowing the table to be positioned freely in the room. The desk is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina (scratches on the surface).
