Vintage ' badminton ' pendant lamp by poul henningsen for louis poulsen. Around 1960 (mid-century modern). Components: aluminum and plastic. One of the rarest models of ph suspensions is badminton. A ph lamp of more industrial style with a beautiful diffusion of white light and an inner cone that protects from direct glare on the sides. This lamp was designed by poul henningsen for badminton halls in denmark in the 1930s and has not been produced for many years. Poul henningsen began what would become the lifelong collaboration with the copenhagen-based lighting company louis poulsen, for which he produced more than a hundred models, all belonging to the ph series, and all based on the idea of multiple shades and diffusers to provide warm and soft light. Diameter: 28 cm X height: 40 cm. Good vintage condition with some minor scratches and signs of aging. No bumps. See photos. The manufacturer's label is present. I can ship.
