Safi earthenware trinket dish – hand-incised and glazed decoration

Charming square trinket dish in glazed earthenware from Safi, Morocco, hand-decorated in the purest artisanal tradition. The incised central rosette motif, highlighted with black lines and luminous glazes, expresses the full expertise of the workshops: a work that is at once precise, spontaneous, and warm. The hues of saffron yellow, brick red, and olive green, enhanced by a fine black outline, create a vibrant and sunny composition. The slightly crackled glaze gives it the living patina sought after by lovers of handcrafted ceramics. Original shape with slightly raised corners and a small foot. Stamped SAFI. Good vintage condition, a few small, discreet chips on the rim (see photos). Dimensions: 18.5 cm × 19 cm, height 3 cm. A handcrafted piece full of character, ideal for a sunny bohemian decor.
