Antique turned wooden stool – late 19th century

Antique turned solid wood stool, dating from the late 19th century / very early 20th century. The structure is made of hand-turned wood, with tapered legs connected by crossed stretchers, typical of salon, piano, or dressing table furniture from the Belle Époque. The seat is covered with its original antique floral upholstery, featuring a design of flowers and foliage in cream, ochre, blue, and green tones, held in place by decorative period nails. This type of fabric was commonly used on bourgeois furniture and music or toilet stools between 1890 and 1920. The wood has a beautiful warm patina, untouched, with the natural marks of time (micro-scratches, slight variations in colour), without structural weakening. The stool is stable, solid, and perfectly usable. No heavy restoration, no modern replacements: a 100% authentic piece, ideal for vintage interiors, boudoirs, country houses, Haussmannian decor, or collectors of antique furniture.
