Pair of hand-carved Corinthian pillar bases

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely pair of vintage Corinthian pillar bases painted in faux marble. A very well-made pair, vintage mid-century circa 1940, with a marbled paint known as faux marble, Regency style and early Victorian era. These decorative bases can display objects with style, charm, antiques, taxidermy, or plants. The wood has been cleaned, waxed, and polished, with patina marks related to age and use, small cracks due to wood shrinkage, and the tops are at slightly different angles.
