Murano glass chandelier by JT Kalmar circa 1970

Magnificent chandelier or ceiling light (possibility of fixing directly to the ceiling by removing the chain) in Murano glass circa 1970. Important model by the Austrian designer JT Kalmar composed of 5 star-shaped lights, 5 levels and 55 glass plates. Comes from a special order with the very rare particularity of having its facets crocheted on the hoops (and not hanging from a hook) thanks to an appendage of the glass (see photos of a plate) thus allowing to hide the entire metal structure. The plates are in hand-blown glass so all different, slightly curved, and measure approximately 13 cm high by 11 cm wide. The lighting part is 60 cm in diameter at the top and 25 cm at the bottom for 30 cm in height. The whole is held by an adjustable chain (changed) allowing the chandelier to measure up to 80 cm in full height. Ceiling light in chromed metal 6 cm high and 11 in diameter, electrification redone. In excellent used condition, the facets have no chips or cracks (we will just note some invisible chrome pitting on the hanging chandelier). This majestic light fixture, and what can I say illuminated, will bring a lot of chic to your interior, in a living room, a dining area or a large entrance hall.
