Maison Lecan presents this freestanding coat rack made of solid pine from the 1970s, an iconic piece of furniture designed for the ski resorts of Les Arcs in the style of Charlotte Perriand — this visionary architect who made mountain pine the noble material of a unique and foundational alpine way of life. The cylindrical trunk made of solid pine, composed of sections assembled with great precision, rests on a robust cruciform base with a rectangular section — the same formal vocabulary as the characteristic crossed legs of the furniture from Les Arcs. The hooks with horizontal rods ending in turned wooden balls add a sculptural and playful touch to the whole, making this object much more than just a functional accessory: a true design piece in its own right. The solid pine, with its warm grains and golden patina acquired over the decades, reveals the raw and authentic beauty of a material crafted with care. The construction, solid and artisanal, reflects the quality of execution characteristic of the furniture produced for Les Arcs, where functionality and aesthetics were one. A rare piece that integrates with character into an entrance, a hallway, or any interior sensitive to French design from the 1970s and the Perriand legacy. Reference LDP: 20260313-001. Dimensions: H 172 X D 56 cm.
