Magnificent and unique, imposing vintage Italian artisanal bottle vase from the 60s-80s, in the style of period Italian majolica. Rounded square bottle shape, massive, with a large cylindrical neck narrowing at the top. White glazed ceramic, hand-decorated on the front with a stunning colourful scene: two birds with blue, green, yellow, turquoise, purple, and orange plumage... In a lemon tree, with leafy branches, flowers, and fruit. Signed “Urbau” at the bottom right. The decoration, with its energy and vibrant palette, fully embodies the spirit of Romano Innocenti's creations: a work at the intersection of traditional majolica and 60s Italian modernism. Possibly from the workshop of a student or collaborator of Innocenti, or from a regional workshop inspired by his Florentine style, the style is extremely close. Total height of 33.5 cm, approximately 20 cm wide at its widest point. Perfect condition, nothing notable apart from a few very discreet natural cracks in the earthenware. Weighs approximately 3-4 kg.
