For sale, a historic and major piece of French architectural design: an authentic Chair from the National Library of France (François-Mitterrand site), designed in 1995 by architect-urban planner Dominique Perrault and designer Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost. This exceptional piece has its original metal identification plate screwed under the seat, attesting to its historical authenticity: • Unique number: No. 91 (one of the very first two-digit editions, highly collectible). • Official manufacturer: Made by the prestigious Martinstoll workshop. • Signatures: Engraved signatures of both creators on the plate. Features and Materials: • Minimalist and sculptural lines emblematic of the reading rooms of the BnF. • Base and frame made of high-quality solid doussié wood. • Ergonomic seat and backrest shell in rolled doussié veneer. • Patented soft suspension thanks to its hidden stainless steel spring. Condition: Very good overall condition, the wood has retained its beautiful original patina. Structure perfectly stable and spring impeccable. Some usage scratches on the seat.
