Model of wooden nautical sailboat "américa". The america was designed by american architect george steers for an association of members of the new york yacht club, led by commodore john cox stevens. It was a competition yacht of the nineteenth century. He owes his name for having been the first to win (on august 22, 1851) the international sailing trophy. This trophy was known in 1851 as the royal yacht squadron's 'one hundred guinea cup', but was later renamed the america's cup, in honour of its victory. Length of the model: 65 cm. Height of the model: 52 cm.scale: 1/72. Attention the model will be delivered disassembled. (see the last photo) to have more safety on the way. Very easy to reassemble. Fast and neat shipment by colissimo in recycled packaging.
