Regency style flat desk

Elegant black lacquered regency style desk by mailfert (1884-1943) "of high quality, our desk opens with 3 drawers in the belt on 1 side, supported by 4 arched legs. Richly decorated with gilded bronzes such as satyr heads with corner falls, rocaille hooves, flowery moustaches and an ogee ingot mold. The top is covered with a gilded havana morocco with small irons. The finely drawn legs are 5-sided like the greatest cabinetmakers of the 18th century. Bears the fire stamp under the top.
